Really getting on well with - more so than I ever did with Visual Studio for Mac.

Rider is so much more capable and finding myself more productive with all the keyboard shortcuts, something I never quite got to grips with in which feels very much like a second class citizen compared to it's Windows equivalent.

This also helps me make the decision on Windows or Mac for my new laptop - looks like the has it

Talking to current and future #RubyMine users was fun at #railsconf2023. You don't have to wait for the future to value your time now.

Also humbled to hang out with the #JetBrains developers that bring you your favorite tools.

Still undecided about whether to go #Windows or #Mac for my new laptop.

Currently using the #Macbook Pro while working on site for a client but Visual Studio for Mac has some shortcomings.

This would lead me down the Windows route so that I could continue to use 'full' Visual Studio but I'm not a fan of #Win11.

I could install #Jetbrains #Rider on the MBP but then I'm also not a fan of #reSharper either - although my experiences were sometime ago now.

Decisions, decisions

@bsinni I did have Linux installed on my iMac but didn't really use it in anger.

I do use VS Code but mainly for frontend projects like Angular or React.

I've installed #Jetbrains #Rider on this Macbook Pro and initial impressions are good - I could be looking at a new Macbook Pro after all.

What's the best #terminal and the best #prompt on #macOS?

@jchannon #StarshipPrompt looks really nice by default and has some #dotnet stuff built in. This is my prompt with almost no customisation (I only installed and use the #JetBrains Mono #NerdFont in #iTerm2.

If you're building a Web Component library, either for private or public use, you should consider adopting Web Types specification.

It adds IDE discoverability for your library for the suite of JetBrains products and it straightforward to add.

It makes your library much easier to use for newcomers.
