Hail Freya, it's Friday!
Businesses don't close on Pagan holidays, unfortunately. So for today's #FridayPaganPoll I'm wondering what you usually do about work when they land during the middle of the week.
Last one and I'm heading for coffee and my book.
In the distance here sits The St Cross Hospital a monastery and Almshouse for ailing gentleman. It's also my parish church. Not that I'd get over th threshold without being hit by lightning.
Thank you very much HTC 5 camera mobile for the continuing good luck with images. ❤️

10 thrash metal bands from the 80s that should have been absolutely massive
These speed freaks from thrash metals golden age fell by the wayside when they should have been megastars
For some folks this may be the end of the line. That project or idea was not going anywhere despite your efforts. It's time to accept the loss and put it out of its misery. Grieve it, rest, then heal.
The reason I refuse to accept the, "I'm a fascist because you won't stop talking about racism" line is because I know from experience that it's not true.
Fascists ruled the roost in US Heathenry when people refused to call out their obvious bigotry. Those conditions didn't change until people started confronting them and their allies.
It also sounds exactly like the infamous, "you made me hit you" line that abusers love hurling at their victims but with more multi-syllable words. 1/2
Once more, another library "Christmas" moment as new Interlibrary Loan (ILL) book request arrived.
This is what I will be reading next. As always, once done, I hope to review it on the blog. If it is as good as it looks, will likely order copy for our library.
Just watched The Wicker Man, the real one, not Hollywood's disastrous, mess that completely missed the mark of the original (1973) film.
I'd forgotten how damned relaxing that film is and also perfect for this time of year.
Edit: No I don't condone the sacrificing of living beings as portrait in the film.
Of possible interest. Beckett is very much into the social aspect with others, which as a solitary I am most certainly not (even less so after COVID. People, ugh). But YMMV. Still make your rituals.
Your plans are made, so put them in motion. Make your investment, put in your resources, send out your ships. Hold faith that you'll receive good returns on what you put in.
