The elderly lady who is visiting the hospital next week for #chemotherapy treatment has now had a #FREE#gas#water#heater installed by our subcontractors.
This was totally free of any cost, with no charge under any circumstances to her, we now know that when she returns home after every treatment, she will have running hot water without the worry of covering the cost, or borrowing.
She is a lovely lady who deserves a break, her next door, #neighbour, called us and asked if we could help.
The Vanguard community centre for the #blind.
We are supporting them this week with the supply and installation of a new #electrical catering #water#heater.
This will be totally #free, and it will help them to provide a more comfortable service for their many users and #volunteers/#staff.
Working together with cross agencies to support the #public.
Both #nozzle (#extruder)) #heater and #hotbed one do not warm up. Beyond all doubt (using external power sources and hairdryer) I confirmed that both thermistors, heaters and wiring are ok.
Under warranty, RatRig sent me replacement board, which I configured, flashed with updated firmware and got the same error.
I also tried to redirect the nozzle heater power to another pin (see in the config file at lib.tepewu.pl/f/8f1d29fe05d44c…) where I hooked up the multimeter. Nothing happened, when I set up nozzle temp to 50*C - after timeout I had the same error "extruder is not heating fast enough", thus klipper shutdown.
I cannot believe to have such a bad luck to got two boards with the same hardware fault (especially that steppers and hotbed probe work perfectly), so it is something I do not know - and I run out of ideas.
#EVs just aren't practical for some people here. I regularly do a trip where I drive ~300km, stay for five hours, and drive home again. In the winter, when it's -30C, and you're driving into a (minimum) 110km/h headwind, you need the heater on full blast, all the way.
An #EV doesn't have a lot of waste heat to spare, so they need an #electrical#resistance#heater. Heat pumps don't work at -30C either.
