Title 8 and Title 18 already are active US laws that require citizenship for one to be allowed to vote. The Speaker of the House is failing all of us by focusing on problems solved in previous centuries instead of the problems we face today.

An engineer: “When a 3-year-old girl is killed in a home in Gaza, it’s because someone in the army decided it wasn’t a big deal for her to be killed.”
An AI outputs "100 targets a day". Like a factory with murder delivery:

#Canada should legalize #mace and other self-defense #weapons like #guns. Self-defense is legal in Canada, but you can't own something that's specifically for self-defense against another human. They have bear mace, though.
For additional context, if you're a legal, registered owner of firearms in Canada, using them to defend your home is an extremely dicey proposition. You can end up with a bunch of firearms charges even if you don't injure anyone - or even fire it. Careless storage of a firearm, improper carrying, brandishing, threatening...
There's no #duty to #retreat, but if it's possible, then standing your ground and hurting someone is likely to end up with criminal charges.
Congressman Byron Donalds (R) tried to slash the military training budget for our allies abroad this week. He wanted to reduce the $300 million program to only $20 million, and stop training Ukrainian troops. His bill failed, luckily. It would have hurt our global military strength, and left many #NATO and #Ukrainian soldiers unprepared for Russia’s invasion.
Ukrainian President #Zelensky visited Congress last week, but Byron #Donalds falsely said on Recount that “there’s no money in the House right now for Ukraine. It’s not there.” The #truth is, we can help Ukraine fight Russia with only 3% of our military budget. This is a smart investment, because it can prevent a bigger and more costly war in Europe. Helping Ukraine is our fiscal #duty. Byron Donalds doesn’t get it. Southwest Florida #swfl needs better representation.

We should not hold a United States senator to a lower standard than that to which we hold all other Americans. We should expect that a senator would, at minimum, perform the basic duties of their job, like casting votes, rather than clench power at the public’s expense (after all, it’s not like they’re Supreme Court justices, who are apparently allowed to do whatever they want).
