I'm trying out my first #TinyEpic game with Tiny Epic Dinosaurs. I found it at 2nd and Charles on clearance for $12, so I figured I had to get it.
So far, its fun but I feel like I might be doing something wrong. How in the world do you complete your private contracts if you can only do it AFTER completing a public one?
I can't figure out how to have that many dinos, without them escaping bc of food or barriers. Also, the darn AI steals my stuff ALL THE TIME!
Ich habe doch noch Eines gefunden. Vielleicht gibt es ja sogar noch mehr da draußen. Ein weiterer Arcade-Klassiker als Brettspiel: Turbo, ein Rennspiel. 😂
21 Spielfiguren, davon 20 Rennwagen und ein Krankenwagen - basierend auf dem Sega-Klassiker Turbo.🥳
Auch hier haben wir ein einfaches Würfelspiel. Das Tacho dient lediglich als Würfelersatz, man dreht, und setzt dann seinen Rennwagen entsprechend bis zu 6 Schritte vorwärts... 😂
Und wieder sowas Obskures. 😂 Ich bin fast sicher, von der Idee über die Produktion bis hin zur Auslieferung, sind ein paar Buchstaben verlorengegangen. 😂 Ich habe (die Buchstaben und) das Spiel nicht bei BoardGameGeek gefunden. Irre... 🥳

So myself and @magickmogwai just spent the past hour transplanting the base game, Breakin’ Atmo, Blue Sun, Kalidasa, Pirates & Bounty Hunters and the ship upgrades into it!

Schade, aber - Stand jetzt - der letzte alte Arcade-Klassiker als Brettspiel aus dem Hause MB Spiele. Nach Berzerk, Frogger und Pac-Man nun Donkey Kong. Ich kenne nur noch ein weiteres aus dieser Reihe, das ist in Europa aber nie veröffentlicht worden: Defender. Und wenn ich mir das aus den USA schicken lasse, kostet es ein kleines Vermögen. 😉
Heute mal wieder etwas total Irres (@marcr 😂), positiv gemeint: Sie schreiben selbst (zwischen den Zeilen) auf dem Cover, dass man das Spiel auch auf einem Zettel für unter einen Pfennig spielen kann, MB Spiele hat es 1978 trotzdem als Brettspiel herausgebracht: Käsekästchen... 😂
Again. 😂 Ich kenne die Verkaufszahlen nicht, aber hier sehen wir ein weiteres Beispiel für ein Brettspiel, was wir alle schon auf einem Unter-1-Pfennig-Zettel gespielt haben: Galgenraten. 🥳 Und ich bin mir auch sicher, dass - in heutiger Zeit - Galgenraten fürs Kinderzimmer für Diskussionen sorgen würde. 🥳
(Und wer hätte 1976 daran gedacht, dass das Spiel einmal dieses Wort zeigt... 😇 🤣)
Damals, als es bei Video- und Computerspielen noch Spielekataloge der Publisher gab. Die alten Atari-, Parker-Flyer, heute begehrte Sammlerobjekte. MB Spiele hatte diese kleinen Kataloge auch für deren Brettspiele. Heute gibt es Sowas gar nicht mehr...

Ce l'ho dalle elementari, quando si giocava con le regole inventate, perchè guai a leggere le istruzioni, e non si capiva cos'era l'ipoteca, ma tutti a picchiarsi per avere il candelabro 🤭
Anfang er Achtziger Jahre hat MB Spiele die Lizenzen von Arcade-Klassikern für Brettspielumsetzungen erworben. Damals wahrscheinlich noch sehr günstig. 😉 Im Grundprinzip waren das einfache Würfelspiele - aber wer spielte solche Würfelspiele dann nicht lieber im Pac-Man-Modus, siehe Foto, oder anderen geliebten Videospeilfiguren, als in langweiligen Varianten. 😂
Ein kleines Sneak Preview für mein Retro-Post morgen in der Brettspiel-Community beim blauen, großen Bruder nebenan.
Obwohl in fast jedem Haushalt vorhanden, hatte es "Spiel des Wissens" nie leicht. Es wurde immer unfair mit "Trivial Pursuit" verglichen, dabei hatten beide Spiele unterschiedliche Zielgruppen. "Spiel des Wissens" ist ein Familienspiel, durch zwei Schwierigkeitsgrade sogar für Kinder geeignet. "Trivial Pursuit" ist für Erwachsene.
From what I read, it doesn't teach you #solarpunk or #degrowth mindsets, it merely adds some pollution tokens, it doesn't reward players for cooperation.
Instead it implements some questionable #gameDesign allowing - and promoting - a win condition of betraying any climate alliances at the last moment to get the most points - essentially a prisoner's dilemma.
