1.0.3 is out 😄
It mostly consists of bugfixes and a bunch of additions to the validator to make it catch even more issues in advance. "Plasma Mobile" is also a recognized desktop-style now.

Lots of apps have been adding brand colors, so we're getting closer to being able to launch featured banners on Flathub!

If you haven't done it yet for your app, here are the docs: https://docs.flathub.org/docs/for-app-authors/metainfo-guidelines/quality-guidelines/#brand-colors

And here's a fancy new previewer for trying out colors: https://docs.flathub.org/banner-preview

Article interesting for about How-to indicate device compatibility in application metadata infos. This is a part of #FreeDesktop.org specifications. It should probably be better than Purism, vendor specific tag?

After more than a decade since 0.1, I released 1.0 today!
The release brings some API breaks, cleanups and new features, and is a huge milestone for the project. Thanks to everyone who contributed over the years!
Blogpost to mark the occasion:

Ever wondered how to really declare device compatibility in AppStream MetaInfo files for your app?
I wrote a short-ish blogpost about that!
Things will also become much nicer to use with AppStream 1.0 soon, with more validation and helper tools 🙂
