@beardedtechguy and myself are looking for someone to help us grow #AllThingsTech in every way possible. This includes our blog, our instance, our wiki, our Discord and our community in general.
We're looking for someone that is super active here on Mastodon and will continue to do so going forward.
We're looking for someone that is willing to talk about the instance, advertise the instance and recruit for the instance if possible. (cont...)
We want someone with ideas, thoughts, suggestions and everything similar! We want you to be a part of something awesome and to help make it amazing!
If you feel you are this person and have the time to do things like this, we'd certainly love to have a chat with you. Reach out to myself or @beardedtechguy and let's have a chat!
Got a couple of #dev projects coming down the pipe that'll hopefully bear fruit sooner or later:
▫️ Working on setting up a remote dev instance to allow me to comfortably keep work going on @pinetta
▫️ Archiving the "best-of" of my old blogs
▫️ Experimenting with a #Gemini site
While waiting for all of the above, I've been filling my spare CPU cycles by helping to get responsive design implemented for Bahaipedia, a #wiki for the Baha'i Faith (see @bahai_wiki).
Speaking of Bahaipedia, here's a little Sunday TIL. You probably didn't know that there's a whole language family of #Bahai#wikis! Apart from the English site (https://bahaipedia.org/), there are sites in:
Also, I put together a 15-minute tutorial on using image annotations for tagging photos on Bahai.media that might be interesting for all the #glam and #GLAMWiki heads out there:
I'd really love to contribute to something useful.
I can't really code, so all my #FOSS involvement is that I work on the German translation for two apps. But is that really useful with most nerds speaking English anyway? But it's something I can do, I guess.
Write Wikipedia stuff? I only have cartoon knowledge that isn't already listed. I don't think that's relevant for them.
Maybe write for Fandom cartoon #wikis instead?
I don't want to disappoint people who like the #Zettelkasten principle or software, but you know that the original #WikiWiki concept - not the mess that #MediaWiki and the likes made of it - is exactly that?
@jens what's the point? #zettelkasten is much older than #wikis. And wikis was based on the real innovation, #hypertext. Wikis are only one type of colaboration over hipertext.
Yes, zettelkasten is the buzzword now but was a good idea at the time.
Brutal Orchestra is a Turn-Based Roguelike Strategy Game. You died, someone killed you. You are now in Purgatory and you will never escape. Make a deal with the "demon" Bosch and set off into this bastardous world finding all manner of demented friends and foes on your quest to get petty revenge.
Is there a federated wiki-hosting project? Something that allows you to edit many independently-hosted #wikis with one account? Preferably with ActivityPub integration for easy sharing on the fediverse?
