One of the things that gets me about this is how long we've been using the familiar arch gravestone shape, in so many cultures, for nearly 5000 years since....
The broken head of this tombstone must have lain face down in the grass for years before someone reunited it with its base - the difference in erosion and lichen growth is almost as striking as the artwork.
