Its been a few months of no writing and I've finally sat down and expanded on my #Time world story.
Only a few hundred words, but there are enough bones in the pile to fill a bigger package.
We'll see what can be teased out of the concepts and if there is enough ideas to find a novel-length bucket of words. #WritingCommmunity #TimeTravelAuthors
Welcome to #TimeTravelAuthors! All past, present, and future authors of time travel welcome!
Titanic Voyage is a published novel about a theme park worker who finds the Titanic ride lets him travel back in time to the doomed vessel. But can he save a heroic victim from her tragic fate?
As #OdysseyToThePromisedLand will go live tomorrow, and one of the reasons why I translated that story was #JulesNVera - here is the scene where these two stories connect for the first time.
#TimeTravelAuthors Went out for drinks with a friend yesterday who almost begged me to beta read a story of mine (this has literally never happened to me before. Reading yes, but not beta reading).
Since I can't say no to that and #JulesNVera is my only project close to beta'ing, I'm gonna return to my time travel novel! Was planning to do another project first - but how many times does such a thing happen??
June's prompts, #TimeTravelAuthors! If you write time travel, or will in the future, please join us. (Someone on Twitter is answering about an audio script!) #WritingCommunity
Imagine being left in a planet with no liquid water. You have to find a plant (?) that looks like the child of a cactus and a fever-induced eldritch abomination, which burns your skin if you touch it, open it and eat whatever the thing that's inside it to get water in your body. Then you have to run so the people (?) caring for those plants don't eat you.
Maistro experienced this once, when he tried to escape from the time-ship. He learned the lesson…
There should be, since Maistro's story is made of 1000+ years of stories…=)
Some are told by him, some are about him, some are told TO him because he usually don't remember nor care about what he had for breakfast this morning, much less how he did X thing 680 years ago…>=)
So, I'm traveling a lot over Pentecost and will have time on the train. I can't quite decide which project to tackle first.
Whadda you think?
Final check of the translation of #OdysseyToThePromisedLand so that it gets done?
Start translating #TheMindOnFire?
Edit #TimeCurves in which those books will feature?
Or screw it and just read the books of the author I rediscovered on Patreon yesterday?
Hello everyone. I'm back from the almost dead. Follow my advice and avoid getting a throat/stomach infection plus a fall from the stairs combo because you might not like the wonderful things something like that can do to your body. Cool things like feeling so weak that you can't even sign something at the bank, or hallucinate with an "AI filter" =-|
Now, I'm not sure if being back is a good thing…>=)
#TimeTravelAuthors 13: How did you come up with the rules of time travel?
Some I had already made up in my backstory in my teens.
The biggest chunk, however, was based on some personal logic and then a lot of calculations. I wanted a certain situation for Jules to live in, and the rest is based on that.
In the beginning, Jules cares most about Philippa, his lost sister, because she needs him the most.
And tbh, Vera cares most about herself in the beginning, then Nolene, then Barb.
There's a lot of mental pain from losing loved ones. physical pain - the backlash Vera and Jules suffer from whenever they cause a time flip, and then, of course, the issue with Vera’s leg...
I'm so crazy busy these days and unable to keep up with all my beloved hashtags - so please don't be mad if I post a day or two late (or not at all, but I guess that wouldn't be an issue for anyone but me 😅).
I love history. I would love to be able to see these things with my own eyes. Hence, #LifeStages was born.
#JulesNVera wasn't originally meant to be about time travel, but (yes!) this hashtag inspired me. I had an old story from my teens, which I never finished, and I used that one as backstory. Also, I could incorporate little scenes from my historical stories.
And now, there's #TimeCurves and waits for me to edit it 😁
Thanks, @juliebihn !
Vera and her sister Barb find a dead boy by the riverside. But while Barb arranges for police etc., Jules suddenly isn't dead anymore and convinces Vera to help him disappear.
This is the beginning of Vera's own travels to the center of time, to Jules' lost sister Pippa, and to the question that torments both families: What ever happened to their parents?
I always read books right from a lil kid. My Momma read to me and I carried on. I thank my mom for that. I learnt so much from reading and now I got the ambition to write a book of my own.
Shit this bitch taken so long I ain't gonna lie. But I nearly finished the first chapter 🤞🏾 #TimeTravelAuthors#authors
