I received this book for my birthday from @thebaywindowgirl
It’s a superb collection of photos taken by McCartney during 63/64. He admits he wasn’t trying to be a photographer, rather just capturing the moments. But what moments they are! These portraits of John and George are particularly good, and the one of Jane Asher backcombing her hair is lovely. All taken on a Pentax SV using Kodak Tri-X film. #Bookstodon#BelieveInFilm#BlackAndWhitePhotography#TheBeatles#PaulMcCartney
Late yesterday night
I saw a light shine from a 🪟
And as I looked again
Your face came into sight
I couldn't walk on
Until you'd gone from your 🪟
I had to make you mine
I knew you were the one
Oh, I would be glad
Just to have a love like that
Oh, I would be true
And I'd live my life for you
So meet me tonight
Just where the light shines from our 🪟
And as I take your hand
Say that you'll be mine tonight #PaulMcCartney #BillyJKramer & Dakotas

#GreatAlbums1990s - #PaulMcCartney - #FlamingPie (1997). The Beatles Anthology series/ pseudo-reunion lit a fire under Paul, sustained through this set of new originals more elemental and immediate than he'd sounded in years. "The Song We Were Singing" is starkly beautiful, alluding to Lennon without waxing sentimental, while "The World Tonight" et. Al tapped into a newfound wellspring of timeless Macca melodicism.
