A question for the literary community—is there a name for a retelling of a well-known story from the point of view of an overlooked/dismissed/reviled/unexamined character?
For example:
• Wicked
• The Wide Sargasso Sea
• The Wind Done Gone
There doesn't seem to be a term, the way there is "spinoff", "vehicle", "prequel", "reboot" etc. to describe other re-versionings of original works.
Early on in my first project manager role, someone told me project management involved a lot of connecting the dots. Six years in, I’ve found I spend much more of my time asking, “What’s a dot?”
How do super, extremely shy people find romantic partners?
Coming from listening to an episode of The Moth where a super shy woman talks about her husband, and me thinking that those two things somehow cancel out…
@Sinegrave 10 years ago here but… I was literally not out there. I was in front of my PC and played with a little group. One women became my best friend and when we finally met at gamescom it clicked. 😅
Well actually we didn't realize it for a few months, but after a while we changed from best friends to couple.
@pitrouillesque (4/4) I've tested the code in my browser and it seems to work fine without introducing any other issues - but if you find it doesn't help or it causes any problems, you can just go back to Custom CSS and delete that line, and it'll put everything back as it was before.
@thomas Thank you so much, fixed the issue it was caused by an app but a free theme on another wordpress made me believe in hell. I shall do that. Thanj you so much once again
Being an effective project manager often entails looking like the biggest fool in the room—no question is too basic to be worth asking, and part of your job it make sure every question gets asked.
@josephthomas It's definitely not for everybody. And I like it and have become pretty proficient, but I'm not positive it's where I'll spend the rest of my career, either.
