Hours of carving and glueing later and we're ready for sealing and priming these bits for my IRL #lancerrpg game, and whatever other things I'll end up doing for tabletop games.
We finally did the thing! I roped my siblings into playtesting a game of Lancer using Legos and a physical tabletop. The sitrep was to destroy five buildings, marked in red, because the Karrakins were using the installation to track their mobile hidden base. #mecha#lego#LancerRPG
A kobold today! Hunched posture, mole-like claws for digging Prospector tunnels, a backpack that fires Demolitionist grenades and seismic ripper lines.
I'm not super happy with the shoulder pads; I might replace them with lil horns or something to get more of that cordyceps look that the Kobold is famous for.
(I swear I'm going to play an irl tabletop lancer game someday and this isn't just endless minis for minis' sake) #Lego#mecha#LancerRPG
I am equal parts excited and afraid to announce that Lancer Tactics is moving to 3D maps, despite me having never made a full 3D game before. It looks too good to ignore and solves a buncha problems. Also I'm convinced will not be too big a swing to switch to because I've been doing an AMAZING job at keeping game logic separate from view.
As I've said elsewhere, my initial impression of Lancer was that the game is a D&D4e/BattleTech heartbreaker mashup that’s popular due to the artwork and setting, and this review would seem to confirm that impression.
A curious question I've had to ask myself while writing Dr.Nimue Anfarwol 's backstory
"How far does one go to protect those they care about?"
I'm still working out just how far Nimue went. She's being quiet on the details at the moment.
She's told me she glassed a marauder base. But she won't say how big it was... and that makes me speculate it was big enough that the marauders might have been generational...
We often tell new folks to #Mastodon to follow #Hashtags, but we never tell people how to do it or which ones to follow. To follow a hashtag from the web client (it varies on the apps), click on the hashtag, and then click on the person icon with a +. Once you have done that, the icon changes to a person with an x; clicking on the x icon will also unfollow the hashtag (see my before and after screenshots). You can see which hashtags you follow by accessing the menu next to your profile name.
