Call me horrible, but I find Martin Tyler and Jim Beglin having to call #LFC matches when they're winning comfortably to be absolutely delicious. Both seem to resent every second of it. I love it.
We don't talk enough about Alisson's value in seeing the whole field. His driven ball over the top to set up the first goal was really the first crack in the foundation that was Leicester's structure and discipline. #LFC
I think Manchester United are going to lose at least 3 points from these fixtures.
Could they drop six points? Who knows, it's a coin toss I think. Could they drop 5 points? Not 100% unlikely. Could they drop 4 points? That seems within the realm of the possible to me.
Why do I think this? Because Manchester United haven't had a run of five consecutive wins since the latter part of 2022, between November 13 and January 18, and they did so getting the respite of the World Cup recess in the middle.
Their previous run of five wins in a row under normal conditions was March 7 to April 18, 2021.
An uninterrupted and continuous run of five consecutive wins is something unprecedented for Erik ten Hag.
More to the point, Erik ten Hag's win ratio –however admirable, particularly for a manager in his first season– still stands at 66%. Erik ten Hag has never had a 100% win ratio in any five-week period. If he pulls that now, he should be a hero among the MUFC-faithful.
The numbers, however, just don't add up. Two thirds of 15 remaining points are 10 points.
If Klopp delivers a perfect finish line performance, and Ten Hag doesn't, Liverpool can have their fourth-place finish.
It really comes down to who you believe it's going to be the manager who can deliver a perfect performance.
Based on past performance, it's Klopp, he has delivered many perfect runs before. Based on this season's average performance, it's Ten Hag. Based on Klopp's performance since March 7 (the last time Liverpool lost a League game), it's Klopp.
By the numbers, Ten Hag really has little more than Klopp, other than the not-yet-worn-off benefit of still being the new bloke in town.
A certain someone decided to support Spurs, so ofc i cannot support a rooster team, so ill just support whomever is playing against them, off to a great start today.
is #mastodonFC any good for the scottish premiership? liverpool & forest green rovers are the only english teams that i have a scintilla of interest in following. #celtic#glasgow#scotland#fitba
