I use only one track with three layers of Polymer. Each layer has an arpeggiator with different steps and notes. As you can see, the effect is very hypnotic, and I activate it using the mutes of the multi-instrument. Of course, these parameters can be automated with Bitwig.
ok, #jamuary#jamuary2024#musodon etc --- this is admittedly hastily put together, speedrun style. sound choices are maybe not on point, vocal chops are pretty bad, the bass is.. eh.
but the original has been on my mind all week, so lets make a really bad bootleg
Day 5 is Chill-out Friday and I'll be joined by a VERY special guest on the twitch stream! Can a modular synth be chill? What is modular, even? We're gonna find out! https://www.twitch.tv/bekindmakemusic starting at 12:30PM ET
For the rest of #JAMuary2024 I will be streaming on twitch on the following days: Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays from starting at 12:30PM ET till 4:00PM.
Tomorrow I'll be working on a "chill" jam from start to finish AND I'll be joined by a special guest to teach them about modular synthesis!
This is probably not the recommended thing to do for Jamuary but I don't care and I want to! I've posted the entire experimental session on my modular synth up on Youtube, with markers and patch notes. I hope it may be helpful to you, and please feel free to ask how I'm doing anything you see in the video and I'll try my best to answer!
this was literally my first time working with my digitone. been staring at me for months, daring me to try to learn it. well fuck you, digitone, I fuckin did it.
all the tracks are going into one album—so if you buy (or download for free), each track should automatically get added to your library as I release them
this one is a bit more upbeat. lots of fun with percussion.
sometimes it takes a lot of work to keep a synth from taking up too much space in a song; other times you gotta find a way to make a single note to overwhelm everything.
I will not be able to participate to #Jamuary2024, but I do think it could interest some people around.
Last year it was an unforgettable experience. It was a very nice way to challenge myself and gather some ideas, and I ended up releasing a selection of my daily compostions
The prompts from @beto on https://jamuary.org/ were inspiring, and it was great to meet and listen the other artists.
This year it could be... I don't know, an epic #Bonkwave event ?
