She had a line her book that has stuck with me. “Other countries have social safety nets, the United States has women.”
Not that it's exclusive to the #USA but considering it's (quite skewed it it's favour) #HDI and #GDP per capita it should have like free healthcare, childcare and education!
Looking at the Freedom House ratings for the UK. Loss of freedom of movement to EU noted, but no points penalty. Barriers to spousal migration in criteria, but no points penalty.
