Very happy with my new #PineTime#smartwatch. Shown in the photo is my preferred watch face style out of the default available options, a retro Casio face. Thank you to @PINE64 and the wider open hardware and software community! I'm going to test out the sleep tracking tonight while connected to #Gadgetbridge and upgrade the firmware as soon as I get a chance.

Da brauch ich ja den PairingKey und muss mich dazu einmal mit der HerstellerApp (hier: Zepp) anmelden. Kann ich das von einem Test-Smartohone aus machen und den PairingKey dann in gadgetbridge auf mein Alltagshandy übertragen oder muss ich die Zepp App für die Erstanmeldungsprozedur direkt auf dem Alltagshandy installieren? Das geht aus der Beschreibung der Webseite nicht so genau hervor

Mi band app (#Zepp) just started playing "AI generated melodies" on my phone based on my relaxation status. I didn't activate it, it just started playing by itself after the update.
I'm so uninstalling and throwing away this forced #ai junk.
Hmmmm so if I want to use a not-so-new #Garmin watch that only does heart rate broadcasting via #ANT, to feed heart rate data to #RunnerUp on a phone running #LineageOS, then I'm out of luck because the ANT stack is proprietary and not included in LineageOS. Did I get that right?
I have been using a Mi Band 7 with #gadgetbridge for two days now.
Initially, I had to use the original app, but after reading the AuthCode from the log, I was able to uninstall it. Everything I wanted works (watch, pulse, steps, appointments [unfortunately only from the current day, but maybe that can be changed, I'll look for it], alarm clock, music control, sleep measurement and weather [in connection with the app "Kleine Wettervorschau Deutschland" {german}].

Playing around with #gadgetbridge with a Mi Band 7, in Texas of all places. Was able to upload a run to Strava with it. So far, it's been a statistical goldmine of goodness; reliable, and with native privacy (well, minus the Strava upload I did). Some minor bugs because I don't use metric 🫠 but they are being worked on. #running

Leider sind meine Pebble Uhren mittlerweile hinüber.
Tipp: Man muss seine Fitness-Uhr nicht zwangsläufig mit den datenhungrigen Apps der Anbieter betreiben. Es gibt schon seit längerer Zeit Gadgetbridge - falls euer Gerät unterstützt wird, ist das eine echte Alternative! ⌚
Depuis la dernière mise à jour de ma #pinetime (qui coincide avec une maj de #gadgetbridge ) je n'ai plus aucun caractère accentué ni émoji qui s'affiche sur la montre.
J'ai vérifié que la langue française et ascii était bien validés dans Gadgetbridge, mais sans succès...
Hey @JF, since I know that you recently asked for some info on this somewhere on here (don't remember the thread), here's a quick update on #PineTime#Infinitime uptime after the latest update: After more than three weeks both #smartwatches are still going strong but they saw comparably very low use. Both with medium brightness. The one with 20% was used on a few days and was always connected to my Android phone via #Gadgetbridge. >
This release improves the barcode rendering code and supports allowing third party apps to read your cards after they request access, allowing #Gadgetbridge to work with Catima in their next release.
This feature is enabled by default as it requires apps to explicitly ask for access through Android permissions. However, if you feel certain you never want to allow other apps access to your cards at all, you can disable it in settings.
