Last weekend, I bought a beautiful old oak office chair for $25. It was very comfy and I thought “let’s make this my desk chair!” I mean it just screams “a professor sits here”. But friends, let me tell you. It is NOT comfortable after a 3 hour zoom meeting. It does not slide on carpet. And even lowering the desk to a better height, my wrist and arm are now saying “wtf were you thinking?” So yeah, I might be buying a new (softer more supportive) desk chair this weekend. #ProfLife

I've been manically drawing Mid-century modern #LivingRoom furniture illustrations. I would love to print this to put on my wall because I think I could look at it for a long time.
Further progress! Fully flattened(ish) and cut to length! Also as a side note, does anyone know why just certain areas have a higher moisture content? Like my cheap pin meter says 8-10 is most areas, but one area I cut says 15-20. I'm not too concerned, but curious! It's kiln dried too if that changes anything #woodworking#liveedgeslab#furniture#furnituredesign

Wondering if anyone in the fediverse has a suggestion for this
I have this beautiful table that I picked up at a second hand store
it is vaguely diamond shaped. I was wondering if someone might have a crochet pattern where I could make a lace doily type thing in a rounded diamond shape.
I would be putting it on the table and under a Lego dried flower piece.
I used to crochet a lot, making stuffed animals and lace doilies. It has been decades since I have done anything intricate but I want to try to do this.
