So this is the first draft I unveiled tonight on #Twitch, with plenty more improvements of the stickers I plan to bring to @defcon and trying to keep in line with their theme this year. It's a variation of my Renegade Tux logo I have used for many years as I do gaming on Linux and cybersecurity content.
This was just a fun idea my best friend and I had as I wanted to take part in the sticker culture this year
So tomorrow is going to suck I need upgrade my PfSense firewall and apparently there is a bug that requires a reinstall to get it fixed as the partition was too small. Then I can get around to setting up @protonprivacy and @bitwarden but I am keeping @keepassxc for the TOTP MFA, because I don’t want to store those in the same password manager. Also rotating all passwords and setting up new Yubikeys then migrating from Ledger to Trezor #infosec
@protonprivacy@bitwarden@keepassxc on top of all that I need to reset my Samsung S23 I use for TikTok as there is a bug training the battery too fast and that’s a fix, and then reset my Pixel 7a with GrapheneOS to prepare for @defcon and once all that’s done then finish the Qubes OS laptop for the #DEFCON prep… better to get all this work done now before a last minute rush.
I may potentially scrap the idea of hosting my own restreamer for restream.io due to costs. I do plan to simulcast to Twitch, Tiktok, Youtube, and Owncast probably after #DEFCON.
TikTok will go direct from OBS to TikTok as it’s vertical format but the rest all use the same horizontal format.
I plan to use a tool to merge all platform chats to the same window for myself so I can see TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, and Owncast messages in one window.
Got the iPod Classic ready for @defcon and I think it’s appropriate for Pride month as well. This pretty much fits with the theme I think #DEFCON is trying to do this year.
I'm looking at shoes for #DEFCON and #BsidesLV any ones people can recommend at REI? I love my 511 boots, but after a few days my feet really hurt and took about a week to recover.
Not sure if I want to use the running shoes I bought as I use them only when I workout, but I was planning to bring them anyway for when I work out.
I think after #DEFCON I will invest more time to enhance my #Mastodon alerter for when I am live on #Twitch, and see about how I can do the same with my @matrix server.
I do have to spin up my AWS environment for my cloud labs, and setup Twingate connectors for Zero Trust Network Access. Once I get the restreamer setup, I will work on adding Simulcast to #YouTube and #Owncast or #Peertube (thanks to @DavBot hosting me), but will require reworking my OBS scenes to be compliant with rules.
So funny story, Dr. Squatch approved my request to sample some of their products for some upcoming content. I have been a customer of theirs for about two years, and this will be a great segway to discuss the 3-2-1 rule of #DEFCON .

I am loving the new GUI in the latest QubesOS, I just wish they made it easier to set dark mode everywhere, or at least out of the box have an option to set as default. #Cybersecurity#Infosec
I'll check my @mullvadnet subscription before the stream, as I think I am paid up until september which will get me through #DEFCON. But yeah the next few streams will be sprinkling in a few things I am doing for DEFCON prep. I also need to dust off my Pixel 7A with GrapheneOS and reset that so I can properly prep it. This is the phone I primarily use at DEFCON.
This summer I am hoping to sit down after #DEFCON and spin up my RTMP restreamer probably using AWS so I can get around to finding someplace to setup an Owncast account, not sure if I want to run my own server as that's a lot of work.
I plan to simulcast to Owncast, Twitch, Youtube, and Tiktok at the same time. And then merge all the chats on the same screen on my Linux box so I can see all of the chat on one screen. #Infosec#Cybersecurity#Gaming#GamingonLinux
Slowly chipping away at making a MNT Pocket Reform keyboard. Love that there's a spot for a 3v3 power regulator and powering the sucker via USB. No PCB changes needed :D

I’m prepping for my credential rollover and setting up the new @yubico 5C NFC keys they sent me as I’m a yubico ambassador and decided to get the @defcon stickers from Keyport to style the new keys I will be swapping to as I’m deprecating USB A. Also got new Keyport covers for backups and to swap out my current ones for a different style.
Found out there are quite a few cybersecurity events local to me so I will be attending those over the next few months, while also taking my CISSP classes, and my CISSP test this summer, as well as DEFCON, B Sides, and more.
This is going to be a very interesting summer for me.
I purchased a portable gravity water filter for my next DEFCON trip, I will not be a schmuck spending so much money on bottled water to pour into my 511 hydration pack in my backpack. I'm just going to filter it in the hotel room and call it a day.
I like to make sure all my trip supplies are ordered and prepared one month in advance so I can focus on small odds and ends. I usually also have a bag packed 3 days before departure so I can double and triple check.
Well shit, I may have to buy a new iPod Classic before my next DEFCON. Not looking forward to dropping another $250 total to build another one though I may purchase a pre mod one this time as I am planning for the Tangara but won't be available until after this summer.
Looks like the hold button on the iPod stopped working and it may be an issue at the motherboard. Still can listen to music and such, but just annoying having it hit buttons on accident sometimes.
I'm debating if I am taking @mullvadnet again this year to #DEFCON or @protonprivacy but I guess it comes down this year to, "Which can I make work easier on my new ARM powered Pocket Reform by @mntmn"
Yes I am very aware I can just run it through OpenVPN, but I would like a nice GUI if possible for my lazy ass.
yesterday i brought up the first production MNT Pocket Reform motherboard (no problems so far) and the team started assembling the first devices :3 i'm a bit behind on the software and docs side but crunching as fast as i can

I liked my Pinebook Pro, but it felt... lacking in the specs department. Where as the Pocket Reform it's upgradeable and already eyeing the RK3588 upgrade after I get my initial unit and benchmark it for my own needs.
It looks like @mntmn Pocket Reform is shipping around May if you order one now. So I'm hoping that (unless I am mistaken) my non hyper purple version should be shipped as soon as end of this month, and as late as early May.
I am really excited to get this in my EDC bag so I can lighten my backpack from 2 full sized laptops (work and personal) to the Pocket Reform and full laptop.
This should make my #DEFCON bag way lighter too, as I only need my iPod, Hydration pack, and laptop.
Any word on when @mntmn may finally be shipping the non-hyper versions of their units. I am dying to downsize from my Purism Librem 14 being my daily carry device and going to a smaller device. Not that I am complaining about my Purism device, but just the weird daily of carrying my work laptop, and personal laptop daily to work.
Plus I want to see how well it will do stock for #DEFCON and if I want to upgrade to the RK3588 sooner or later. I have a feeling it's going to become my go to device
Think I am just going to reset my Pixel 7a with Graphene OS for my minimalist phone. I refer to this as the #DEFCON phone as it's the phone I brought with me to DEFCON but it's expanded to my international phone as I travel.
Since I am still paying for that number and plan, I may as well just keep that phone going instead of add yet another phone line. I have too many cell lines as it is
