And the last question (hope it's okay that this ended up being a Q8, @trouble)

Q8. What's the most recent thing you bought/added to your bike? Or clothing, or any cycling related thing. Anything new or fun?

They are also working on improving safety - they use XT90 power connectors and build their batteries with name-brand cells. I’m realistically hoping to get a couple of years of use from this kit before it dies. https://www.electrifybike.com/products/tsdz2b-osf-upgrade-motor-kit-250-750w (2/2)

lol. Shelter wouldn't let us take home fosters (in a hard shell carrier) in the because "it's too dangerous". I even deflated the tires a bit for this, for a smoother ride.

So many in , I'm so fucking tired of it.

[for background, every cat I've ever dealt with has been terrified in a car. They hate the speed, and the loud engine/vibrations. It's one of the reasons I started transporting my former cats by bike.]

View of the inside of the box. There's a bag of cat food, a white fuzzy cat bed, a blanket underneath, and room for a cat carrier on top of the cat bed.

There's a guy called Pedro Neves who is designing and building a Tadpole cargo trike with tilting front wheels (for better ride quality).

He's sharing his design for free, because, as he says in his comments:

"I love the learning process and the sharing of knowledge. And because making stuff makes me happy, I try to incentivize others to do that too."

Just another one of those close calls that could have gone either way.

While this ended up as a near miss, I hope you can understand why cyclists can become so frustrated.

The consequences of distracted driving is far larger for me than for the driver.

I'm looking into cargo bikes for urban areas so I can reduce my footprint.
Any suggestions?

Priority is ability to transport a few groceries, ease of lockup, and lack of ridiculous cost. I don't need electric or anything, but I do need it to be there when I get out of the store...

Was out shopping for my mom today, and decided to get her some soil for her garden.

I hadn't planned it, so I didn't bring straps = the bag had to lay loose on the rack, so I didn't dare get more than one.

But this is literally a I just found in a ditch somewhere, and had I planned ahead I'm sure it would've handled at least 3 bags just fine. Combined with city planning that doesn't create miles of distance between everything, so multiple trips is ok, and I'm fine without a

My rusty silver "woman's bike" with panniers on the side of the rack with groceries in them, and a bag of soil (40 litres) on top. There's also a basket with sin stuff in it in front

I wish Urban Arrow sold these bikes in the US. They look like incredibly handy utility bikes that could replace a lot of truck trips. https://puntarella.party/@acasalotti/112280261282504835

Figured out another use for the where I strap a garbage can to the side and have the 12yo bike slowly along while I use a garbage grabber to pick up trash.

Wife asked why I’m doing this now and not the arranged day to but… I’m angry about the trash now

Wow! I didn't realize, here in the States at least, that the Big Easy and the electric are both the same price, around $5,500.

That makes it exceedingly difficult to choose between the two and I could easily see myself using either one in different situations.

Hmmmm...

Does anyone have any advice or experience with either to persuade me in direction or another?

Dear enthusiasts, what would you recommend for these circumstances?

  • ride on pavement but also a dirt road in poor repair
  • leave outdoors NEAR THE OCEAN for days at a time
  • bring a small dog (15 lb) in some kind of carrier or crate - but, I don't need to bring the dog when I'm training for the
  • in winter I'll store the battery in the basement of an unheated house
  • I'm not very handy but I'll have to try and do maintenance myself bc it's quite rural

If we get on trending, it hopefully helps more cyclists and folks who want to cycle find the community. We can grow and get to know one another! @bikenite @fedibikes @mastobikes
