Glad to see the Spanish naval barqentine Juan Sebastián de Elcano, soon to celebrate her 100th birthday, in Boston again.
She was tied up next to the Constitution in the Charlestown Navy Yard. When the Constitution fired the daily 8am cannon, a sailor on the tip of the Elcano's huge bowsprit broke out the Spanish flag, and the barquentine played the Spanish national anthem and then the Star Spangled Banner.

Finished the first draft of my play in iambic pentameter! Because I have the freedom to do weird shit now! Anyway, given that I've been bike commuting in Boston since 2008, I was thinking I could put together some bike commuting tips for folks considering it. Do you think anyone would want such a thing? #bike#bikecommute#transportation#boston
"If we’re successful, we’ll be the first human-powered crossing from Boston to the U.K. We will also be the first mixed crew (in terms of gender) ever to cross the North Atlantic. We’re hoping to break the North Atlantic record for speed."
