Illinois kids age 5 and under can receive free books thanks to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, state grants (www.nbcchicago.com)

Legendary musician and philanthropist Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has provided millions of free books to kids in the United States and abroad, and now all Illinois children ages 5 and under can participate in the program thanks to a new partnership with state officials.

The shortlist for the 37th Arthur C. Clarke Award science fiction book of the year has been announced, and it includes authors that have never made the shortlist before.

The annual award is presented for the best science fiction novel of the year, and selected from a list of novels whose UK first edition was published in the previous calendar year....

One of my favourite books as a child was The Rough Guide 2.0: The Internet and World Wide Web. It's crazy how much has changed in 27 years and I hope this post helps you take a trip down memory lane.
