In the PH, the hit song "Pantropiko" was the first song composed by Angelika Sam Ortiz, a film major. Already with 45M streams on Spotify and 16M views on YouTube, the summer-themed song has made PH girl group BINI the most popular P-Pop group in the country, even more popular than SB19 and BGYO.

Kwon Eunbi – Underwater – Asia Artist Awards 2023.
I like the tropical sound, and Eunbi’s stage presence makes this stage a winner. Eunbi’s 28 now, but I don’t think she is getting too much abuse for her age. I like seeing older idols, and I hope she carries on performing for years.
I was interested to see that AAA 2023 was held in the Philippines, partly because I am always curious to see how kpop is flourishing beyond South Korea, Japan, and the USA. I have also been getting more eager to learn something about the culture of the Philippines.

Although the Kpop influence here is obvious, I'd like to learn more about this group and Pinoy pop in general. How popular amongst Filipinos is Pinoy pop in comparison with kpop, jpop, and western pop?
