@blogdiva I feel same way about most of Canadian politics. I definitely don't need anyone telling me Conservatives are worse - already know that & never voted Conservative & never will. If you're BIPOC & also marginalized in other ways (disabled, poor, LGBTQ2S, etc), you've likely experienced fascism/racism/bigotry/hate crime at least once in your life, if not multiple times. We're not the ones to direct frustrations at.
@blogdiva Many of us POC had lived under the Harper regime. We know he never stopped trying to get revenge on all of Canada for losing election. We know better than most, how awful things can get under more conservative & more neoliberalism leaders - because we've already experienced a lot of horrors that most of our white connections have only read/seen in the news.

it blows my mind people do not get that they are being asked to protest the bad policies AND vote for the guy.
but that's the thing: that would be an inconvenience TO THEM. they do not want to do the heavy work of defending democracy. that should be for the people who they enjoy seeing as martyrs, BIPOC. not them. good heavens no, they have take care of their cuticles and underpay an immigrant to mow their lawn.

@blogdiva@stephanie I'm grateful to true POC allies who understand we're fed up & exhausted from endless emotional labour demands. Even when we do take the time to try to explain & educate - we still get condescending crap from the wilfully ignorant.
@chriswho@blogdiva@stephanie I'd rethink use of the term - grown ups, with this. Since, being a grown up person has zero actual reasons to do with folks who are more than grown up, chronologically, yet choose wilful ignorance in the ages of massively easy to access educational learning/re-learning resources.
I've met/encountered many "grown ups" who are full out bigots & several are really proud to be racists too.
@chriswho@blogdiva@stephanie Same vein. Many adults can pay rent & also meet equally those average adult responsibilities. That doesn't mean they've developed critical thinking skills to be able to deal with self imposed ignorance. There is no age limits for bigotry.
