Fires can ignite under floors and behind walls, where they are not easily visible. CPSC is aware of multiple residential fires involving the Montebello See-Through and DRT63ST fireplaces. ... The manufacturer, Innovative Hearth Products LLC, went out of business and is unable to conduct a recall...the fireplaces were marketed and sold nationwide for between $10,400 and $13,000"

@ai6yr When we bought our home in ‘15 it has an add on w a wood/gas fireplace. In our first week here, I’d notice a gas smell from it. I found the problem. Called the gas co to come check. He said no leak everything ok. I then went into the garage and turned on our gas dryer. Said to him to check again. Sure enough there was a leak at the fireplace gas fitting when the dryer in the garage was on. I cut that pipe out asap and since only use it as a wood burning fireplace. Until we renovate that room anyways……
