@claireasher@Transflux I haven't trimmed my cactus yet but with other succulents I usually put cinnamon on the cuts to prevent fungus from taking over, and give them a few days in a shaded spot (main plant and cutting). When the cutting is fully healed then I put it in a new pot and let it re-root there.
