Oh here's a cool #GIS thing I'd love to see exist - a (zoomable) world map which, for any day of the year, shows you where it is a holiday.
Colours could indicate if it's a day off for most, some, or few. Maybe timeAndDate.com has something close already?
I'm always unsure who has a coincident holiday and who doesn't. For example it's a holiday in my area (Ontario Canada) today, but I'm unsure who else within Canada is off today, let alone other countries.
@LillyHerself oh yes, I used to use it, but switched to Thunderbird/Lightning a few years ago. You remind me that I used to download a holiday file that would populate info for many locales. There's probably something Lightning compatible too if I search.
I'd really like the ease of use of a graphical presentation though.
