@i0null The Matterhorn- first climbed by Edward Whymper in 1865. 7 went up, 3 came back alive.

@i0null @nf3xn They are. I’ve only seen The Matterhorn in the distance from the Auguile du Midi.

I’m a big fan of Edward Whyper - buried in the graveyard in Chamonix where I used to spend a lot of time - both the graveyard and Chamonix - putting flowers on his grave.

I doubt the BBC had the budget to fly James Burke and the crew half way around the world and then take all the equipment up!
