@animeirl At least this one has trees compared to fucking USA but they have no streets nor walking paths, only roads (check the widths and low-angles).
@animeirl Meanwhile technically I live in a suburb because it's a town next to a city, but said town has been in the top of national walkability contests (it's faster to go by foot in most areas and in a very safe manner) for like a decade, plus you know kids regularly playing around in the various parcs and sports facilities.
@animeirl Not all X, etc. but when everywhere is turning into urban hellscapes because of an unhealthy obsession with building more housing then this shouldn't surprise in the slightest.
@animeirl@thatbrickster one thing is that many places in the US essentially force you to build this sort of single family home backrooms up to the horizon due to stupid and, guess what, openly racist, zoning laws
