One of the reasons I went to Cumbria last week was to check on the 250 trees I've planted up there.
This beauty is a small-leaved lime. Once upon a time, this was one of the dominant tree species in Britain, but that was a few thousand years ago and they're not all that common these days. This one seems to be doing well though.
