I find all the articles about setting reading goals so puzzling. My "reading goals" come naturally-- to enjoy the four plus books I always have going at once--1 (or more) fiction, 1 (or more) research/history, 2 (or more) dharma-related for small group discussions. I love reading!
And then there are the audiobooks I listen to on long walks...

@CandaceRobbAuthor @bookstodon I loved reading when I was in school and in college, but I found that I drifted away from it in my adult years as new things competed for my time. I'm trying to get back into the habit of reading and listening to audiobooks and found that setting a goal helps keep me on track.

geographile,

@CandaceRobbAuthor @bookstodon I think for people who are trying to get (back?) into the habit of long-form reading they make sense, or to read more and watch less video and scroll on social media less, but I'm not a goal-setting person. I just keep lots of ways to read around me, and I read when I'm able.
