Next an analog photo from Amsterdam took with my Zorki 4 camera (an old Soviet rangefinder) from 1966. 📷 Let's imagine that this photo doesn't have these few modern cars, then you could say that this photo looks like it was taken a few decades ago. Canals in Amsterdam are the most iconic places of this city, many calls this city the Venice of the north and I can confirm it's true! 🥰
Gear:
• Zorki 4 (KMZ, 1966)
• Jupiter-8 50 mm f/2 (KMZ, 1967)
• Kodak Professional Portra 400/36
Oh, it's not you. It's very common to refer to any city with canals as "The Venice of ". I just find it very funny when it's applied to places like "The Venice of China" (Suzhou) when the city in question predates the establishment of Venice by 500-1000 years (depending on how you draw lines).
You're fine. You're just using an expression that I find comical sometimes. :D
(And you take very nice pictures, even with old machinery. Your pictures with the old-style film cameras look like the pictures I took in the '80s ... only with actual tasteful composition. ;) )
