Watched this guy rant for 10 minutes about how the tech industry is too saturated, coding is dead, and you may as well not even try. The whole time I was wondering if I should be concerned about my future. Then at the very end he says "you know what job is rare these days? Bitcoiner." Then I knew everything is going to be okay. https://youtube.com/watch?v=l222fIkesAY
@birdulon@Pawlicker@hj@coolboymew Literally, anyone could've come up with the idea of Pokemon with guns. You can add guns to any existing game and make it your own. It's just like the whole "X in space" thing.
@camedei456@Pawlicker@coolboymew What else did Microsoft had to offer besides Halo, Gears of War, and games that were already on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles?
Online anonymity: study found ‘stable pseudonyms’ created a more civil environment than real user names
'What matters, it seems, is not so much whether you are commenting anonymously, but whether you are invested in your persona and accountable for its behaviour in that particular forum. There seems to be value in enabling people to speak on forums without their comments being connected, via their real names, to other contexts.
...calls to end anonymity online by forcing people to reveal their real identities might not have the effects people expect'
@coolboymew@mia It didn't fix news sites. They tried mandatory real name policies, but that didn't work so they decided to just get rid of commenting all together.
@coolboymew@mia Speaking of which, I miss when blogs and other sites allowed you to comment without an account. Even Blogger/Blogspot had an option to comment completely anonymously. Now, people think that that kind of practice just leads to imageboard culture when that has never been the case from my experience.
How about kids under 18 don't get smartphones (Dumb phones okay?), don't get tablets either, has to go on the family computer in the kitchen again and especially don't get to have accounts on social media?
That would just about solve about most of the problems currently
@caekislove@coolboymew If you don't want influencers or attention whores, then don't have any names at all, real or fake. Every online community will just be an anonymous imageboard or textboard.

>Getting bullied for not having a certain phone, social media or something else others take for granted. Fortnite skins were bad enough.
15-20 years ago, kids were bullied for not owning the latest game consoles, not being allowed to watch PG-13 movies, not being allowed to drink soda, or having an early bedtime (or a bedtime at all if we are talking about late elementary school or early middle school). There is always at least one kid in every elementary school class that is raised like this. I was one of them in some cases.
>I was brought up having a 'family computer' I was the main user of. The problem of having kids being glued to them for hours is worse than having a tablet that can be picked up and put down IMO, but I wouldn't mind it so much if they were using it to learn how stuff works.
Not to mention that if you have multiple children, you will have them literally fight over the computer. Case in point, my older brother introduced my younger brother to Steam, Counter-Strike, and TF2 a decade ago. He was also introduced to things like Smosh and Minecraft, so he was horribly addicted. He would get into fights with my sister over the computer and she just wanted to check her Facebook. I would've been hooked on the computer as well (I just got into programming at the time), but I was forced into doing extra-circular activities.
You also have the problem of kids downloading too many freeware and free-to-play games over the Internet and eventually downloading malware on accident.

Javier Milei is the new face of the WEF and the global bankster class.
The ultimate PSYOP was how global elites spread false 'anti-socialist' conspiracy theories against themselves.
That way a shill like Milei appears to be challenging the elites, while in fact FULLY carrying out the ruling class agenda.
In order for the global ruling class to carry out its agenda, it has to make it appear like a rebellion against themselves! CONTROLLED OPPOSITION.
Allowing capitalists and banker's to plunder your country's wealth is not 'freedom.' It's the opposite: slavery.
Our GOVERNMENTS are corrupt not because GOVERNMENT is bad in general, but because OURS is CONTROLLED by BIG MONEY.
To the Western Right Wing: Congratulations, you fell for the biggest con in history. You will eat the bugs and live in the Pod. It will all be in the private sector.
Any constitution that gave you basic rights will be torn up. Welcome to slavery re-branded as freedom!
@gabriel@km I think people are also waking up to that as well. That's why you see a lot of grassroots movements like the "Bladerunners" and people who tore down the 15-minute city gates last year. These people are still at it which is impressive.
@PurpCat@gabriel@km Fucking this. I am sick of my Dad slamming his horn every time we pass a "honk if Trump won" sign. And I just know that Trump is going to play along with the whole Disease X narrative if he wins and Disease X actually happens.
So many people have finally waken up to the uniparty after COVID and it shows.
