A lot of them are whining about Masto being hard to use. A lot of them are ready to get a shovel of programmed bullshit up their face.

This is, unfortunately, the world we live in. And it's gonna get worse before it get better soon.

is more of the same. The algorithm, has no chrono feed, and there's no use in following anyone because you won't see that feed just yet.

Oh yeah, they tie in your Instagram account, so you need to delete both if you want Threads gone. Good job, Zuck.

Mastodon/Calckey, all that still reigns supreme. Nothing to see there.

P.S. Don't fall for a bigger dopamine trap like count on Threads compared to Twitter. Remember, they're using an existing user base.

24th Jun 2016 was the saddest day in my life. What followed made me decide to leave the UK for good, which I did. I could do that as I'm blessed with dual citizenship. I'm British, Italian and will forever be European.

My job was filled by a couple of people based in India. I couldn't stress more that whatever was said about Brexit benefits to the labour market was a pack of malicious lies.

I was sad and angered to see how many people believed those lies.

Right-wing nationalists won every election due to fear-mongering, the political system that completely betrayed the ideas of secularism. I'm almost 40, and in a way, it's too late for me. During the past 5 years, my health had got worse.

I ballooned in weight, got sciatica in my back, and my doctor put me on medication for high blood pressure.

But there was a part of me that said, โ€œF*ck you, darkness! Iโ€™m going to live!โ€

So I went to the gym. And decided to right the ship. I made a promise to myself that lโ€™d push my body to do things itโ€™s never done before.

I went all out. Each bloody weight just another way to push past limits. Every urge to quit, Iโ€™d say, โ€œNot this time! Today, I fight to live!โ€

Sometimes thereโ€™s a voice that tries to feed doubts. But when that voice talks, I tell it to shut the hell up.

Iโ€™m too tough for it. I already exceeded my expectations. Each time doubt says, โ€œYou sure you can do this?โ€ I show that voice that I am the boss.

I tell that voice, โ€œSit down! Today, I am your daddy!โ€

The voice wants to get out, but I shut it down with every push and curl and liftโ€”until itโ€™s no longer there.

โ€œIโ€™m too tough,โ€ I say, โ€œSit down!โ€

Iโ€™m going to put myself through hell for one hour, feel the lick of fire coarse through each muscle, sucker punch Satan himself, if it means I get to live another day.

The voice wants to get out. But Iโ€™m too sharp, Iโ€™m too adept, Iโ€™m too alert. I tell that voice to โ€œShut your mouth or I will kick your teeth down your throat and shut it for you.โ€

So that voice waits, bides its timeโ€”tries to sing. But I kill it with each movement, each lift, each weight.

Time and chance happens to everyone. But not today. Iโ€™m not quitting.
