Any recommendations for good SFF/speculative books that are written first person? My wife and I are really enjoying reading the Murderbot books aloud to each other. Part of that is the great writing and sparkling personality of the main character, but I think part of it is also the different vibe of first person writing, where the narrator is telling a story to the audience. I'd like to find more books like that.

@lilithsaintcrow Logged into Canva yesterday to make some new social cards for a book series I stock and found the suggestion lists down the left filled with AI covers, pushing their plagiarism tools. So disappointing.

I need to find some alternatives that help with the quick job of editing a templated design.

Even the damned project management tool I use (ClickUp) is pushing AI description and task generation! I mean, what? Robots giving me made up jobs now?

Now that it's gotten this bad, I'll be adding a flag all the bookshops I list on @libreture that use AI with a warning. Name 'n' shame time.
