I'm seeing a lot of "well what did you expect" or "Israel has been the agressor for decades” being taking as outright support for hamas or framed as such by the left, I've not seen anyone explicitly say they support Hamas.

For example the quote ”You take my water, burn my olive trees, destroy my house, take my job, steal my land, imprison my father, kill my mother, bombard my country, starve us all, humiliate us all, but I am to blame: I shot a rocket back."

Well it finally happened to me, I've been expecting this for a while.

Hopefully ublock manages to keep up the game of wack-a-mole but if not it looks like Odysee is the least bad alternative to move to, anyone have other suggestions?

@zcutlip I run Piped which does a similar thing as Invidious for now but I'd also like to move away from using google as much as I can in general, Youtube is kinda the last thing I haven't found a good replacement for

In 2006 I attended the HOPE6 conference in NY and was hassled by police near the end of the event which resulted in me losing my wallet, I remembered the police hassling but I completely forgot about having lost my wallet. Today my mom sent me this letter she found while cleaning, its from a fellow hacker who took it upon themselves to get in touch with my foster parents and returned it.

To be clear, I'm not really upset that my package didn't arrive 12 hours after i clicked "buy now", I'm pissed that Amazon WANTED me to expect it in 12 hours. It's completely unreasonable, they KNOW that its unreasonable, and even if they did somehow magically have the ability to deliver packages that fast, they should use that lead time to give workers some breathing room... Under Promise Over Deliver, not really a hard concept, but when you have a monopoly its easy to get away with shit 3/3

So 3pm rolls around and what do ya know, no packages yet.. well actually my wife got some packages but apparently not from the same truck or whatever fine, and 9pm rolls around, a package arrives again for my wife... oh well tomorrow i guess...

Its now 11am, my wife just got 3 more packages, im still waiting on my one.

I ordered some parts off amazon for my thinkpad rebuild and I was really surprised to see an estimated delivery of "tomorrow between 9-11am" (it was 10pm when i made the order)... normally i would never expect this fast of a delivery, but here amazon has put it out as what i can expect so i do, untill 11am rolls around and "your shipment was delayed".. okay NBD I expected as much, ETA is now 3pm cool...

I finally got around to flashing coreboot on this old Thinkpad X220 only to run into the problem of having to choose between UEFI support or including Doom as a secondary boot payload. Can't have both due to limited (8mb) rom space.

I've been spending about half my time this summer with a 500MBit symmetric link, and the other half at about 20MBit. It's genuinely kind of surprising how little difference this has ended up making.

@mjg59 where i am with comcast I've got the option of 400 down 5mbps up or 100 down and 20 up and both are totally fine but its interesting how they decided to slow uploads so much for the higher speeds
