As a no-doubt thrillling update, Retrospecs will continue to be available in the EU, as I’ve found a virtual office package with mail forwarding which Apple deems acceptable in terms of EU Digital Services Act compliance.

On the downside, it’s costing me about 10% of what Retrospecs generates in the average year, so that’s just peachy. 😔

If anyone’s interested, as part of the address validation, Apple accepted the virtual office agreement that you can download as a part of the “Street addresses” offering from UK Postbox.

As a heads-up, I think Retrospecs’ availability within EU App Stores may need to change.

In short, I’m not prepared to publish my home address and mobile number on the App Store so I can comply with the Digital Services Act, so rather than go down this route I’ll simply remove Retrospecs from sale within the EU.

It’s a pity, as I know there are a lot of users within Europe, but hopefully you can understand why I’m doing this.

Anyhow, I’m currently exploring the cost of PO Boxes and virtual telephone numbers/call forwarding, so I’ll see how it goes - Retrospecs doesn’t generate much revenue so I need to find something suitably economical.
