I feel many focus way too hard on the “railroad” aspect of TTRPGs vs the aggrandized sanctity of sandboxes. To me, a sandbox is nothing more than an illusionary railroad just with a lot track switches along the way. I don’t really care how I get there as long as I enjoy the ride.

RPG book covers matter. It deserves as much attention, if not more, than the pages within. You could have the absolute best game ever but if your cover looks like a passing thought slapped together with Brøderbund Print Shop, most people are going to simply pass it by. Thoughts?
