this guy annoys me to no end
>oh yeah I'm a minimalist
>has two laptops and a switch
>has a projector for movies but no curtains
>plays the switch like it's a tiny tv screen, doesn't use the projector
>pays for a flat way larger than his needs just to get a bigger wall for his projector
>doesn't use his bath because he prefers showering at the gym (pays for a flat with a bath anyways)
>doesn't even use a fucking bin to hold up his garbage bags because that's one less item he owns
>drag funny little corner cross down 1 cell
>excel auto-fills it
>the previous cell is CaCO3
>it fills it as CaCO4
genius. truly revolutionary. thank you excel
> A job posting that included race and citizenship requirements — and the stipulation, “Don’t share with candidates” — has resulted in settlement agreements between Virginia-based IT staffing firm Arthur Grand Technologies Inc. and the U.S. government.
> Under the arrangement, Arthur Grand will pay a civil penalty of $7,500, along with a total of $31,000 to 31 people who complained about the posting. The company — which is minority-owned and a federal contractor designated a disadvantaged business — will also be monitored to ensure compliance with anti-discrimination laws.
> Arthur Grand “neither admits nor denies any violation,” the Department of Labor’s agreement states. But in a message to NPR, Arthur Grand CEO Sheik Rahmathullah said his company "vehemently denies any guilt or wrongdoing." The job posting was made by a rogue employee, he said.
You have problems, I have problems too. I also think this dumpster fire of a country is going to collapse soon. But unlike you I don't have youth or health anymore, so I am mega-fucked when it happens, unlike you.
@sun my dad's been hearing "capitalist america is going to collapse in 5 years" for pretty much his entire childhood. how likely do you think it's actually going to happen, though? and how soon? not a dig, just genuinely curious
@sun that's fair. it's interesting to see what other people think. i might just have some sort of naive optimism in the future because i am just not seeing things that ring alarm bells. the current trajectory is concerning, but i never trusted stocks, pension plans or anything like that in the first place (on account of my dad's pension being completely raided by putin's cronies and the simple fact that what comes up must go down)
