This week European Sleeper starts their night train service between Brussels and Berlin. The cool thing is that it's just two founders who leased some trains and got a bit of capacity in the busy rail network (that + lots of sweat and tears I can imagine) https://www.europeansleeper.eu/

Just a thought experiment:

El Niño pushes us above the 1.5 degree target temporarily in the next 1-2 years, as predicted by a couple experts.

We will have the "new normal" extreme weather events. It will be catastrophic in some regions and "fine" in others.

What happens to the Paris Agreement? Will this lead to a "Look ma, it isn't that bad" moment? With the rise in far right ideology and climate denial, it seems very likely that this would be weaponized heavily. In politics and the public.

@bastianallgeier It feels like both effects, El Niño OR La Niña, so an increase or decrease in temperature caused by this phenomenon alone will be weaponized for either climate denying scheme
