    @fiee Ich finde "Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe" toll und ich glaube es gibt da ein paar Hürden die ConTeXt spezifisch sind:

    • Wo finde ich die "aktuelle" Dokumentation?
    • Einordnung von mtxrun, context, und den anderen Binaries
    • Was ist der Unterschied zu #LaTeX ?
    • Einführung #MetaFun

    und andere Stolpersteine :D

    Abgesehen davon, fänd' ich eine aktuelle aber auch ausführliche Einführung in Fonts in ConTeXt interessant, da ist mir immer noch nicht ganz klar was da im Wiki korrekt/aktuell ist.

    Cool wäre auch, könnte man in dem Workshop eigene Ideen/Projekte/Probleme mitbringen. Ich würde bspw. gerne sowas wie https://ctan.org/pkg/tufte-latex in ConTeXt nachzubauen. Auch nutze ich bisher noch LaTeX-Beamer weil ich das \pause Feature dort sehr mag um stückweise aufzudecken (funktioniert auch in #TikZ Grafiken!).

    @fiee Sind non-binaries dann quantenprogramme? :D

    Aber sehr gerne doch! Zumindest sind die Fehlermeldungen von ConTeXt oft klarer als das Gewusel bei LaTeX. Dafür gibt's einen Dokuproblem was tlw. an der kleinen Nutzendenbasis liegt, andererseits an der Vielzahl der tlw. veralteten Dokumentationsweisen. Aber das ist ein eher komplexeres Problem, aber vllt. würde ein Wiki-Edithaton auch was Nettes sein?

    @fiee Ja, ich denke bei Fonts ist das eher ein Dokuproblem, ist "simplefonts" immer noch der richtige Weg? Und tlw. ist die Terminologie unklar.

    Was ich sehr angenehm fand war Beamer-LaTeX wo einfach mehrere PDF-Seiten generiert wurden, die aber nicht "hochgezählt" wurden. Das war sehr simpel und definitiv "good enough" für mich und auch hinreichend supported. Cool wäre etwas vergleichbares in ConTeXt.

    Das sowieso, das wäre eher ein Hacking-Day :D

    @fiee @simulo Ja, genau sowas will ich! Bei Tufte hat man in der Regel sehr breite Margins für viel Platz. Eine Sache ich auch interessant finde sind dann die einzelnen Grafiken die dann aber in die Margin reingehen. Es bricht aber mit vielen Konventionen und ist deshalb nicht so trivial zu bauen, wahrscheinlich?

    @fiee Okay, dann habe ich das richtig erraten und meine Dokumente machen das bisher "wie gedacht". Aktuell nutze ich mainface wo du aktuell brotschrift als Platzhalter nutzt. Gibt es da eine gewisse Konvention oder Besonderheiten? Welchen Sinn/Anwendungszweck hat es unterschiedlicher solcher Fontfaces zu definieren? Ich glaube da würde ein Beispiel auch dem Verständnis helfen (gerne räume ich da auch Wikis auf, nur solange ich wenig Plan habe ist das eher kontraproduktiv).

    Danke auf jeden Fall für die Erläuterung :)

    OSFONTDIR ist bei mir tatsächlich gesetzt, da ich ConTeXt via Container nutze und darüber dann zusätzliche Fonts einbinde die nicht im Image enthalten sind.

    @fiee Hm, schade, ich fand das immer sehr schick, bspw. konnte ich damit folgendes machen. Das würde mich aber interessieren nachzupflegen, falls ich da wüsste wie (und Zeit finde)

    @fiee Bei mir sind zusätzliche Schriften oft im Projektordner, deshalb wird da in der Regel sowas wie OSFONTDIR=$PWD; oder so gesetzt.

    Hattest du bereits einen Anwendungsfall für unterschiedliche Schriftgruppen? Bzw. was wäre da einer, mir fehlt da vllt. die Vorstellungskraft :'D

    @fiee Jup, genau so einen fonts Ordner habe ich im Projektordner, ich glaube der wurde nicht direkt gefunden, also das aktuelle Verzeichnis wird nicht standardmäßig rekursiv durchsucht (ich glaube da gab es eine trailing-/-Regel?).

    Ah, ja, das ergibt Sinn -- ich schreibe tendenziell eher abgeschlossene Dokumente, da ist eher selten der Fall. Danke, leuchtet mir ein :)

    Die "Bürger in Wut" wollen jetzt auch bundesweit antreten, und zur Europawahl wird wohl auch Wagenknecht ihre nationalpopulistische Partei an den Start bringen. Als Optimist könnte man annehmen, die beiden nehmen der AfD Stimmen weg, was ja erstmal gut ist. Als Pessimist muss man annehmen drei Parteien, die mit Rückwärtsgewandtheit, Rassismus und Nationalismus jonglieren, normalisieren und etablieren diese Perspektiven. Der Einerseits-Andererseits-Journalismus wird sie in den Salon holen.

    @angeldruckt @sixtus Zugegeben kann konservativ mit populistisch verknüpft werden oder auch nicht, ich wünsche mir, dass man endlich FDP, CDU, und weitere als korrekt "reaktionär" oder "rückwärtsgewandt" beschreibt, SPD ist dann eher la-la konservativ.

    It's absolutely not esoteric, but it is against current educational policy.

    After reading, I wondered, would schools be better without teachers (in their current role)? And instead, simply having material available as books/audio/...? Even in university teaching I ended up simply preparing material and leaving the students be. They ended up coming to me for questions, interested and motivated, and with much more deep knowledge.

    I imagine space for children to explore. To see this "weird book with weird symbols" (e.g., math), trying to figure it out and either succeeding or asking the weird person who spends their time writing similar books on the blackboard. Learning must be alike uncovering mysteries!

    It also reminds me of a practice Bell Labs had in their monthly reports or so, if I remember @bcantrill correctly: Asking engineers what thing they found most fascinating/interesting in the last month and what they were most proud about. Engineers are not much more than children playing and finding out things. Encourage that.

    @jwildeboer @rysiek Yep, I thought Poland was cute and fun, hannah-montannah vibes, but I get anyone not liking it :-D

    I also think the English parts in the Czechia performance killed it, but I loved the weirdly queer performance of Croatia, definitely a second for me. Finnland was good but also kinda meh/boring.

    Spain was definitely top, hands down, but Belgium was cute too and I kinda liked Iceland. Germany wasn't perfect but definitely not the worst lol.

    Flatshare ranking had Spain and Croatia in the top, with Moldova, Belgium and Germany following suit.

    @jwildeboer Hm, I disagree, I think the worst rule of ESC is "no politics". I just can't stand this "apolitical" thing, especially if it's as pretentious as it is in ESC.
