So, having mostly moved from twitter to mastodon, one thing I've discovered that I really like is feeding-the-trolls seems quite rare? Like, on posts I'll very occasional get someone behaving twitter-like (meaning a combination of assuming the worst and then speaking as if to a mob) and... here they're generally just ignored.

@ZachWeinersmith I'd assume it's thanks to a combination of lower discoverability (you usually won't get an answer to a message from someone else unless someone from your instance follow them or you specifically look for it) and more efficient moderation (instances tend to act faster on reports than Twitter did, so people misbehaving can get silenced easily on a per instance basis). But I'd be very interested to see some real study of that phenomenon.

J'ai reçu mes bracelets de @from_Otterspace, et du coup j'ai beaucoup trop de style (et je peux même les mettre en collier, t'as vu !) 🤩

Mon poignet velu portant les bracelets, fait de mailles de métal couleur acier et bronze. Ma main fait un 👍
Les bracelets accrochés l'un à l'autre font juste la bonne taille pour que je puisse les porter en collier/choker.

Every time I look into a "restricted controls" challenge - like the A-button challenge - I am in for a treat. Every one of these challenges that ends up being interesting enough to talk about ends up being completely off the wall.

Literally, in Super Mario Odyssey's "no left stick" challenge, where a core part of maneuvering is smashing Mario's face into a wall thousands of times because it moves you right half a pixel every time you do it.

@Craigp I'd say it depends on the speedrun. I love watching AGDQ when the speedrunner has a copilot explaining what's happening on screen and giving a bit more context. Like how the skip through the invisible barrier in Wind Waker works, and the story of how it was discovered, understood and perfected.

But I agree that the parts of speedruns which are just powerplays are not that interesting, except if you played the game yourself : it's always fun to see how one can cheese a boss I struggled so much against in Sekiro or Elden Ring. :]

Introducing Masto Reader. Like Thread Reader App, but for Mastodon.

How does it work? Mention @mastoreaderio(@mastodon.social) anywhere in a thread and say "unroll" and the little bot will do the rest.

@ZachWeinersmith Could be both, but it has more chance to be the second one. As pointed out by others, "we sell everything" would more correctly translate to "nous vendons de tout". Still, "nous vendons tout" could work as an overstatement : we have everything to sell, and we challenge you to find something we don't have!

@Peperlito J'ai regardé les deux saisons parues de Slow Horses dernièrement et ça faisait longtemps que j'avais pas bingé une série comme ça. C'est du mix de thriller/espionnage et de comédie très bien foutu (j'y pense parce que tu cites Severance et que c'est aussi produit par Apple).
