I came across the term “Utility Kilt” and I think that’s a good description of what I would wear.
This one has a good amount of storage, plus some D-rings if more is needed. Material looks good too (didn’t know what cotton drill is: https://brydenapparel.com/drill-fabric/):
With #Starlink using lasers for communication between satellites, are there any concerns regarding effects on #Astronomy or are these operating outside of any spectrum observed?
As mentioned in a different reply I had a situation in my mind where the laser beams would reflect of dust particles (just as with laser effects in a club) but that might not be problematic.
@kwantumkraut Hmm, I didn't think of dust. My gut tells me that it won't matter (especially since ground-based telescopes are already looking through a few hundred kms of dusty air, but I don't particularly trust my gut on this one.
On the other hand, lasers are monochromatic. If they do send measurable amounts of light back to the ground, you know exactly what frequency it will be, and it will be easy to filter without hurting visibility.
Wow, look at me, going all Starlink apologist. #awkward
Do you have a #cyberdeck for daily use?
Any cool gadgets or #techwear?
Souped up terminal prompt beyond oh-my-zsh?
Any other useful desktop apps which help you trough the day?
All the RGB you can fit into your room?
Preaching the gospel of #Arch Linux?
I kinda feel pretty un-cyber these days and was wondering…
Quick look at the time line, gonna have a look at the yesterdays music suggestion and blocking @samreciter for making me want to spend money I don’t have (just kidding, need to know what other cool stuff you find) that’s enough social media for today this week I guess.
Good evening @vicgrinberg , quick question from a slightly intoxicated layperson:
Is it actually feasible to get a “current picture” of the universe? If my understanding is correct whatever we capture on let’s say a camera ranges from the closes source (i.e. most recent state of the object) to the one most furthest away (i.e. it looked like that millions of years ago) it’s just possible to capture a range, not taking into account the changes in position.
Am I missing something in this train of thoughts?

@kwantumkraut The second one is veeeeery deep and goes very much into technical details. I wasn't sure what you background is, so didn't know what to provide, so if the first one was fine, it's good :)
@kwantumkraut@MonaApp Posted the initial post via Mona because of the missing post language feature of @ivory.
Used it for months. The features are awesome, but it's clunky and the notifications still are not usable because you're always on top and have to find out where you left.
