Still has the 2 pronger. I've done the 3 prong mod to a few of my other (less valuable) vintage amps, and I found that in most cases, it makes the hum worse.
Not really thinking of gigging this one, so I'm going to leave it stock as much as possible.
So far Jerboa seems like the move, Thunder looks nicer, but it doesn't seem to play nice with this instance so that's kind of dead in the water, at least for now.
I mean there's Reddit ofc, as well as Twitter in its entirety, Discord is implementing some dumb updates, there are issues with Tumblr as well as everything to do with Meta, and I'm sure there are plenty more (and I haven't even touched other digital media, for example the Sims). Why is it all happening in the span of about a...
I feel like its going to be a lot like the Twitter meltdown after Musk took over: a lot of noise in protest, a shittier experience for the user base, but it will ultimately live on because people would rather adapt to the new paradigm then move onto something unfamilliar.
My 1966 Fender Mustang, 100% original and worn in in all the right places. What do all y'all have that someone would have to pry from your cold dead hands?
Picked up this MIM Tele last year, and its been my main squeeze ever since.
I've always wanted a lake placid blue tele, but they dont come by often. It popped up on my local marketplace and I didnt even try to haggle, just asked the guy when he was available.
I used to have a lake placed blue strat that my dad bought me that I had to sell back in leaner times, so its nice to have a spiritual successor to that guitar now that I'm doing better.
A wah pedal is at the top of my wishlist right now. I have been borrowing a crybaby from my friend and it sounds great, but I am wondering if I could get a similar effect with a cheaper wah pedal. Do you feel like the high price of a crybaby is worth it, or do they all sound the same?
High price? Not sure qhere you are, but you can usually pick up a used one for like $40-$50 if you keep your eye out on facebook marketplace/kijiji/craigslist/etc.
I usually recommend that people buy a used gcb95 (standard issue dunlop crybaby), and then just mod it to your specs. Google "stinkfoot wah mods" and go from there.
My $40 wah that I've been using for like 15 years now kicks the pants out of all the high end, boutique wahs I've played.

What's the best Lemmy app right now?

Why does it feel like we're at a point where every social media + other digital media are making shitty decisions and falling apart?
