Early acupuncture

I have a handful of hard disks I'd like to logically "shred". (Not NSA proof, but normal-person proof.).

These are all USB powered (some via a USB to SATA adapter).

What software do I use on Debian with which to do so? Last time I did that was with dd(1), but I'm thinking in 30 years tech might have improved a bit. ;-)

Edit: I also recall having used DBAN once or twice. #historic

Edit: of course when I say 'it used to', phones took 20pf and were installed in yellow booths.

I just saw two people “talking” to each other on a smart phone. Nothing special one would say, but it was FaceTime and they were signing.
