For last couple weeks, I've been working on a lightweight , 🦕 Dinolog. It can be surfed and managed using or netcat, in addition to the official client.

It is compatible with , and will have an optional Http frontend (WIP). The http frontend will have total support.

I've not yet, settled on plaintext or markdown. Specs doesn't yet suggest any text format, but I'm working on that.

What software do people recommend I host if I want to make my own fediverse activity pub server? I was thinking to host pleroma but I would like to get other peoples recommendations.

Your msg is not entirely clear. Do you want to write a new ActivityPub application? Or host an existing app for the sake of microblogging, as we are doing now?

Aha, nice. I'd personally say there's value to getting more diversity in the kind of apps that are hosted, and then indeed #Pleroma is an option. But also you can consider forks of #Mastodon, such as #Hometown with local-only posting or #Ecko.

If you want to go modern, innovative but still a tad experimental, then #GoToSocial may be a very interesting choice. Bit more experimental still you get to #Bonfire.

Yeah, server-side tracking was the expected route of mass #SurveillanceCapitalism of course. Much harder to block to block this shit and protect #privacy.

It is a case to go for a #NoJS / #SansScript browsing experience by default, and then only allow-list trusted websites.
