I’m looking for alternatives to #emacs#orgmode for #iPadOS . I used to ssh’d to a remote machine with Emacs, but it isn’t that good even with Mosh. Suggestions? Halp! 🆘

In Argentina, domains are purchased directly from nic.ar, a dependency of the local government. Last I heard, funds go towards networking infrastructure in the country.
I wonder why more countries don't follow this simple patter for their TLDs. Why do I have to go through third-party for-profit registrars? They're just a middleman that doesn't add any value to the transaction.

I’ve been revamping my #orgmode setup on #Emacs, specifically org-agenda and org-todo. I miss the full integration between org-contact and org-agenda for birthdays in agenda view, and it seems to be the cause of a version mismatch - I’m using Emacs 27, default to #Slackware 15
This incompatibility probably causes the error, a silly one where ‘date’ is a void variable within the ‘org-contacts-anniversaries’ function.
#Thinkpad is great, but I can’t get used to its screen resolution and pixel density - I’m using an L14 gen2. It either looks big and narrow or very small for a decent workspace
@dekkzz76 oh, I mean, I was using 96 dpi before checking out the dpi website. It recommended changing to 156dpi, making my workspace much smaller once everything went bigger - maybe a macOS bias - and I had to change it back to 96. In the process, I tried other dpi and ended up with 108.
It seems that Lenovo’s screen isn’t as crisp and high-res as I was used to in Apple devices 🤷🏻♂️
