I love videogames and chatting about them. When I'm not gaming, I read and play with my cats, sometimes simultaneously.

I may toot a lot about #FireEmblem

OutofPrintArchive, to retrogaming

Decided to make this post as it might help people out when hunting for Nintendo carts and steer them clear from pirated ones.

The general rule of thumb is that every western Nintendo cart from the NES up to the N64 and GBA have 2 clear things to look out for.

An indented number in the label, either on the front or the back.
As well as an F(ront) or B(ack) in the plastic at the connectors.

A NES cart for example:

Details in the pictures.

#retrogaming
#Nintendo
#shareyourgames

the same rule applies for the front which will have an F, alongside a number.
On the back label of a NES cart you will find an number imprinted into the label.

@COMPU73E @OutofPrintArchive There were some game gear games that looked fake, but I don't know if they were. I eventually missed the label on the one that looked fake. It's the bigger black one in the picture. I don't even remember what game it was. We played as an egg-shaped guy or something. It was weird and super hard.
