Recommending I Can Do It! (Now on the correct visibility setting)

I really enjoyed it this e-sports danmei novel (as you can probably see by how I finished 134 chapters, 11 extras in about five days ahaha)

Short summary of the novel

This is an e-sports story, with the romance happening between this streamer, Soft, who excels in flaming every single player in the League of Legends e-sports circuit (and every player he plays with) except for his idol, Road, with his idol, Road. Soft is an extremely talented player who basically spends all his time playing LoL, watching LoL and streaming for money. Due to circumstances, he joined Road's e-sports team as the new mid-laner (a position in LoL).

Thoughts

It's very fluffy, very sweet. The ML totally dotes on the MC, and does it so obviously too. The MC is basically a hissy cat who will claw and scratch everyone except ML (and ML's family...). Their poor manager has his hands full trying to manage this tea (him praying every night probably, "please, Soft, don't reply to trolls and don't flame back, please"). 10/10 would recommend if you are in the mood for fluff, comedy, sweet/healing, soft. Would probably not recommend if you do not game AND do not know league of legends at all. If you game but don't watch or play LoL, I think you'll be fine (lots of footnotes)

Some caveats

The KR-CN e-sports rivalry might get uncomfortable to read (some insults/comments are on accent, for example); also expect some of the usual beauty standards stuff in webnovels in description of how people look; main character is slightly less than 18 at the start of the novel (but the relationship doesn't start till he's 18)

I wish there's a 1.5x speed button on crunchyroll because eps 16-18 were painful to watch (a slog due to our lack of investment in the rei-vincent romance)

i think this series could be shortened into 12 episodes or idk 16 eps, and it'll be fine.

more next week. I think we are now back in business about the non-romance parts

Not done thinking about this novel but more in a sense of why this worked for me. It's a story that's primarily about the MC and ML and e-sports. But the supporting characters are all fun and great too (though the Korean team at the end was kinda one dimensional mean) and I enjoyed reading all their interactions. It really helped that I liked the main character immediately, and the relationship was slow burn rather than Fall Madly in Love/Lust At First Glance (I hate that). It's a lot of little things, and I think ML was first intrigued because of MC's talent and ... unique personality (ahaha).

So, slow burn relationship that builds up, characters who I care about (more than just MC and ML), respect and care (I love terrible, awful, toxic, but i contain multitudes, i also love sweet, respectful, doting), adults who are caring (that nice scallion noodles uncle who only one had one line but warmed my heart! ML's parents!), and waves hands it felt like watching a soft, sweet iyashikei anime, and I do really like that genre!

And now I probably should read a non-webnovel before I reach for the next on my TBR (if I even stick to my TBR)

It was bright, and people buying things couldn't see who was selling them. Later, this kind of market gradually became a climate and turned into a specific black market. Generally, the market opens on the third or fourth day and closes at dawn on the fifth day. Yushitai got wind that this black market had become a specific place for certain officials to sell bribes, and there was a force behind it. Liu Yuan, together with two officials from Yushitai and Dali Temple, disguised themselves as common people and went to the ghost market to get a feel for it. In order to disguise themselves, the three officials randomly bought some worthless things from the stalls. Liu Yuan bought this pen holder casually.
