Following the new Meta AI policy (which is non-guaranteed opt-out), a lot of Western artists created an account on Cara and some announced they will remove all their content from Instagram, DeviantArt and Artstation.

Cara is a new (2023) independent service, artist-oriented, with portfolio features. It does not have any plans for federation and they've just reached 100k users.

edit: 1h plus tard 100k

L'algorithme joue à fond comme d'hab. Le nombre de vues reste une métrique qui montre clairement l'activité du réseau et incite à reposter.

Drama dans la commu Hazbin Hotel car lors du panel à la Galaxy Con une question à Blake Roman concernant une scène de sexe qu'il a doublé (qu'on ne fait qu'entendre dans la série) a été posée par une fille de 9 ans.

Ça part en cabale contre les parents et ça traite les acteurs de pédos tranquille alors que dans le chat plusieurs viewers disent "ah ben moi aussi j'ai commencé à regarder à 9 / 10 ans".

Mars Express by Jérémie Périn has been released in theaters in Germany, USA Japan.

And now Bluray editions are available in France (almost sold out after 48h) and in Germany on 6/6.

In addition to being and excellent SF movie, a full sequence is in fact an exclusive demo created by Still (Pixtur and 1x)!
Of course it was recorded for the movie but it was a request of the director, who's a former Amiga user, to ask demosceners to make that sequence. :abunhdhop:

"True Colors", the S2 finale of Amphibia, aired 3 years ago.

You can think what you want of Amphibia, but it definitively hits my short list of the top best finales ever.

It's like watching an hour long movie seamlessly packed in a 24mn episode with twists and sequences you wouldn't expect - as I told myself when it ended: "What the fuck did I just watch?".
I often describe it as "Miyazaki meets Dragonball".

Also Disney Channel cancelled the premiere just before the broadcast because of the content, and that should tell you something.

So Bridgy Fed is now up in beta.

It's an AT Protocol/ActivityPub bridge, so you can follow Bluesky accounts from the Fediverse.

However it's opt-in, so you need to follow @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy to be visible on Bluesky, which unfortunately breaks the concept of federation. Same on Bluesky's side.
