the steam deck just increased my tolerance lol. i want my games running at minimum 90 fps on desktop, and for steam deck thats 40 or 60 fps depending on the game.

i dont think at the current power it can even maintain 120 on any game? i mean it can hardly do 90. at least not until we have system wide fluid motion frames at the driver level like on windows.

you can easily get 8 hours emulating ps2 games at 4w tdp and 1080p resolution, been playing persona 3 fes mostly because of that. I’ve also been able to push 4 hours emulating the switch version persona 5 royal at 7w tdp and 900mhz

though I’m not sure what extended travel means, I “only” travel 3 hours to class over one day

I like using the left pad in 3ds emulation, to quickly save, fast forward, freeze, etc.

the right one is reserved for mouse input and click

95% of my entire yakuza play through has been on the steam deck, from 0, to kiwami 2, which I just finished a couple minutes ago. such a good series and runs great, all at 60fps high textures

I use mine on the train to and from school, and on some flights, but was nowhere near my pc playtime according to the steam replay 2023. I hit about 150 hours per two weeks frequently there, and the steam deck is more like 18 hours.

I’ve actually been using it as my primary pc while overseas in china, too.
